Survive for 55
& lemme tell you
I was surviving from about 3 mins in
Bali humidity is no joke.
We’ve just started a new block of training, and give me freedom for Saturdays session.
So I thought I’d give this one a rattle 👇🏼
- 20 min max cal ski
- 10 min max cal assault bike
- 20 min max cal row
- 5 min max wall balls
55 mins of hurt
I had paces in mind prior to starting, but they quickly changed after a few pulls of the ski 🤣
Nice to get a long, continuous, hard effort in tho!
Don’t get me wrong, a great session to benchmark a level of fitness and could be used as a measuring tool if I retest in another 8 (or so) weeks.
But not something to run every week.
What I learn from it today;
- training in hot / humid climates makes more difference than you think. Everything feels harder, higher HR, higher RPE.
- I need more longer threshold efforts into my program. I will likely slot these in on Saturdays “freedom” session
- I’m still sh*te at wallballs 🤣🤣
