Erwin Wurm’s major solo exhibition ‘Dreamers’ in Palazzo Pesaro, at the Museo Fortuny.
Venice Biannale May 6 to November 22, 2026

The One Minute Sculptures series explores the idea of the human body as sculpture; in other works Wurm anthropomorphises everyday objects in unexpected ways, adding legs to bags, contorting sausage-like shapes (Abstract Sculptures), or expanding the volume of technical and architectural objects (Fat Car, Fat House). 

Wurm’s highly contemporary pieces are housed in the Palazzo Pesaro. Previously the Atelier of Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo from 1898 to 1949, where he custom-printed fabrics, silk chandeliers, suits of armor, antique carpets, and furniture. This environment adds an effective and immersive juxtaposition. An experience not to be missed.
