Spore represents the concept of humble beginnings, where creativity flourishes quietly beneath the surface. We integrate our design, materials, and a strong dedication to responsibility

Together with Mylea™️, we are thrilled to present a carbon-negative material derived from the root structure of fungi.

From local roots to global movement, we believe sustainability should spread like spores—quietly, persistently, and without borders.

Material certifications are crucial when it comes to claiming that fashion products contain recycled ingredients. The materials utilized, including rubber and each strand of yarn, have been certified by:

1. Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
The GRS certification guarantees that a product contains high percentages of recycled materials, verified through a chain of custody, and ensures social and environmental standards are met throughout the production process.

2. OEKO-TEX®️ Standard 100
OEKO-TEX®️ STANDARD 100 is a label for textiles tested for harmful substances. It sets the benchmark for textile safety, from yarn to finished product. Every item bearing the STANDARD 100 label is certified as having passed safety tests for the presence of harmful substances.

Footwear is one of the world’s major industries. In fact, most shoes are produced using unsustainable and mixed materials that do not contain any natural molecules, making them unable to biodegrade on their own and taking 1,000 years to decompose in landfills.

Pijakbumi exists to implement more responsible sourcing and a sustainable supply chain from the beginning of the product’s life cycle to the end of its life.

To create a circular ecosystem, we encourage creative recycling as an integral part of our waste management systems. This not only diverts tons of material waste from landfills but also reduces the use of virgin materials.

Plastics were first created to reduce the use of natural resources like animal horn and ivory. In the early 1900s, the first fully synthetic plastic—Bakelite—marked the beginning of modern materials.Since then, plastics have evolved to meet various needs — from healthcare to packaging, from mobility to technology. In modern life, it’s unavoidable to go a day without interacting with some form of plastic.
We sleep on pillows filled with plastic, clean our teeth with plastic toothbrushes, apply our makeup with plastic tools, and even scroll on social media with our plastic smartphones.

We rely on plastic in various ways. Therefore, we need to start designing circularity from the beginning of a product’s life cycle through to the end of its life.

Now, let’s take a look at ourselves! How can we live with various type of plastics more wisely? Share your tips with us in the comment below!

The first plastic was originally invented to mimic the natural polymers found in animal horns.

In the mid-of 18 century, elephant tusks were extensively used for creating billiard balls.
The Father of American billiards, Michael Phelan, then offered rewards to anyone who could provide an alternative for the elephant tusks.

This marks the invention of synthetic plastic.

The first fully-synthetic plastics, called Bakelite.
This polymeric material has the capability of being heated and easily molded into a certain shape. Since then, various types of plastics have been invented
