Klöcker keeps head up!

After a quite disappointing year 2019, Klöcker’s outlook for the ongoing year is carefully waiting.

The current combination of the cyclical business downtrend, structural changes in the automotive industry, turbulence motivated by trade politics and the coronavirus disease reduces investments worldwide.

The well-meaning activism by teenagers aiming to save the world is contributing to the situation and is being glorified by both media and politics.

Oscar Wilde already knew that human feelings rebel faster than mind and love for sufferers is more convenient than love for thinking.

Despite of politics made by children and globally uncertain economic conditions, Klöcker needs to keep focussing on the economically right things.

Anything else would be irresponsible and hypocritical.

Challenging Exhibition Schedule 2020

Starting in spring, the Klöcker team is eagerly awaiting this year’s numerous major and smaller events to take place in Vietnam, Argentina, Indonesia, the USA, Turkey, Brazil, Mexico and China, either having been attended as exhibitor for years or to be explored within the scope of a first visit.

Klöcker is looking forward to three shows directly following up in April: SaigonTex, SimaTex and IndoIntertex. TechTextil North America, ITM and Febratex line up with those until summer before the last two fairs of the year, Exintex and ITMA Asia + CITME, even overlap in October.

Pre-Christmas Period

Especially during the pre-Christmas period we are generally talking about “slowing-down” while taking a certain pause and briefly reflecting for some days. Of course this is basically valid for Klöcker as well – however, during the current Christmas and New Year’s holiday period only partially.

At the end of the final working week this year, a new injection moulding machine including necessary accessories like dryer, colour mixing device and hoisting machine have been supplied to Klöcker. Now, selected Klöcker staff is working to put the new machine and its relevant equipment into operation between the holiday period to guarantee a smooth operation process by the end of the vacation to start again on January 6th, 2020.

While putting the new device into operation for the injection moulding sector Klöcker is entering into a busy and lively year of further investments.

Thus, restructuring measures at the location in Borken, the renewal of the vehicle fleet for emission reduction, an extensive replacement of the IT-infrastructure including a safety concept as well as expansion investments in the cutting and CNC-production will follow.

Considering the significantly clouded economic situation it will surely be an exciting and demanding task for all Klöcker employees going along with internal and external training measures.

Expansion investments in Indonesia being close to completion

The intensive works to enlarge the production and assembling areas at PT. SKD in Bandung/Indonesia will be finalized in January 2020. At this time, a complete second level will be installed into the existing building.

With the completion of the construction measures approx. 300 m² production and approx. 200 m² assembling area will be available in addition.

During the first quarter of the year 2020, the Engel injection moulding machinery parc will be enlarged while the additional assembling area will mainly serve as an extended workbench for the headquarter Klöcker in Borken/Germany.

Gebr. Klöcker Industrial Mechatronics GmbH in Borken distributed awards to business partners and employees in january.
The well-known Klöcker-Supplier-Award for above average performance and reliability went to GAP.TEL Telekommunikation GmbH. Managing Director Patrick Dülks received the award in attendance of many national and international visitors.
Gebr. Klöcker and SKD build on a continuing collaboration with the honored company.

End of an era!

With effect from the end of April 2017 our long-standing co-shareholder in Indonesia, Mr. Long-Wen Lin, will leave PT. SKD Industrial Parts to enjoy his well-deserved retirement.

With the retirement of Mr. Long-Wen Lin, SKD loses an internationally renowned specialist for weaving shuttles who managed the settlement process of the weaving shuttle business during the past years.

With the sale of several weaving shuttle production machines, the stock sale as well as the transfer of the SKD customers to alternative suppliers the weaving shuttle production and marketing will definitely come to an end after 20 years for SKD and after more than four decades for Mr. Long-Wen Lin.

At the same time, Klöcker took over the relevant shares while pushing the business with industrial parts at SKD simultaneously. Furthermore, SKD is planning further steps for the production of mechatronical units during the next months.

An investment of about 500.000 Euro is planned for the purchase of the corresponding means of production and the adjustment of the manufacturing halls.
