What does mean to us?
In recent years 'sustainable' has become a buzzword in the fashion industry. We see fast fashion companies using this phrase as a way to negate the impact they are having on the environment and dupe consumers into shopping with them.
At Vasilissa Bali, we ensure every step of our process is made as ethically with as little harm to the planet as possible. Producing extremely limited runs we want our clothes to last you a lifetime. That’s why our collection feature backless dresses that can be worn all year round, tried and tested to make sure they meet the highest standards before they are brought out in the world.
We only stock a limited number of each item to ensure that we don't overproduce, so that our range is as ethical as possible and also special to each customer. We are also committed to only using 100% organic cotton (and recycled materials down the line) in crafting our dresses.
Not only is organic cotton better for our own skin and environment (since it's grown without the use of harmful chemicals), but it's also better for the people working in the cotton industry.
By choosing to wear clothing made from organic cotton, we can support fair labor practices and help to reduce the negative impact of fast fashion on our planet.
