The Indonesian music scene is beginning to resonate across the world.
At the center of this movement is Grrrl Gang, a three-piece band from Yogyakarta.

Formed by vocalist/guitarist Angeeta Sentana (), bassist Akbar Rumandung (), and guitarist Edo Alventa (), Grrrl Gang continues to sing about feminism, mental health, and the pains of youth—delivered with the sharp edge of pop.

Their debut album Spunky! was released by the Riot Grrrl-associated label Kill Rock Stars () and was later selected for NME 100, the British music magazine’s list of emerging artists to watch. The band has since left a clear mark on the global alternative scene, far beyond Indonesia.
