A new era of transparency is coming to the down industry 🪶

Starting August 2026, Europe’s updated labeling regulations—led by the European Committee for Standardization—will set clearer, more consistent standards for down and feather products.

What’s changing?
✔️ Stronger composition transparency (95% down / 5% feather benchmark)
✔️ Clearer quality classification (Class I, II, III)
✔️ More accurate disclosure of “other elements”
✔️ Improved labeling for origin and fill types
✔️ Alignment with sustainability trends, including recycled down

This shift empowers consumers with reliable information while helping brands build trust and compete fairly in a more transparent market.

✨ Because informed choices start with clear labels.

Shifting the focus from what we produce to how we produce 🌱

The TE Preferred Production Systems by Textile Exchange highlight a powerful truth: real impact happens at the system level.

From farmers to global brands, every step in the production journey shapes the future of our materials—and our planet. By moving beyond “preferred materials” to preferred production systems, the industry is embracing a more holistic, regenerative, and circular approach.

✨ Because sustainability isn’t just about the end product—it’s about the entire process behind it.

Together, we can create a world where materials have lasting value, and communities and ecosystems thrive.
