This past Friday we got the chance to meet some our students in person and introduce them to the sewing machine. Although we’re proud to be able to teach our youth sewing, it’s very hard to run the entire program virtually! Big thank you to all our students that came to our first clothing pickup. Thank you for providing us the space!

What is a mission without a set goal? In order to help ensure the safety of our youth going back to school this upcoming fall, plans to create 500 face masks for students who may need them. If you know how to sew and would like to help support our efforts please reach out!

is excited to announce that we have partnered with to launch the Sew What Initiative. SWI is a high school summer program that will teach 18 students of color from across the city of Chicago how to sew and design urban fashion VIRTUALLY. Given the state of our country today, our students will learn to make protective masks for their families as well as communities. Our mission is to develop identity and economic independence and we are SUPER excited to be able to do just that through the inaugration of this program. Follow us to learn more about our story and community!
