A quieter rediscovery, shaped not only by motifs, but by people.
Years spent moving between batik houses and our in-house artisans have shaped a quieter understanding, one that sees batik motifs as something lived, not just designed. To us, these motifs carry a sense of belonging. A belonging to our identity as Indonesians, connecting coast to coast, village to village.
Rooted in this journey, the kain panjang also draws from Peranakan Chinese culture — where crossings and continuities become a starting point for new interpretation.
Through slow making, Pak Sida continues his craft alongside Bli Agus, a quiet regeneration of knowledge through time.
