Pekalongan Batik Week International (Pekan Batik International) 2013
Batik as an artwork as well as industrial products of creative economy has developed concerning motifs, design of type media fabrics, color and its philosophy.
It has become the responsibility of the Nation to keep preserve and the survival of Batik as the World Heritage, since Indonesia has gained recognition as Global Home of Batik set by the UNESCO, an official institution of United Nation in art and culture.
As part of the Nation, we should to stimulate the process of love for the Batik to all over the World through the events as well as the recognition of Batik culture.
Cross culture is not precludes the appearance the Batik clothes for Europe dancers and other Nation such as Ballet dancing and Samba from Brazil.
Batik as a fashion can be Go-International in the form of traditional cloth such as Kimono from japan, and Sari from India. The process of such “cross culture” should encouraged by an effort to show the art of Indonesian Batik in International forums which become a concern to many countries with cultural arts assimilated by the world choreographers and designers.
Besides the Batik as an art form, Batik is an economic that should be encouraged in order to develop into a commodity of economic creative which is demand by the worldwide consumers. Batik should able to survive and thrive in pluralistic society in the world.
The observers of Batik from several countries need to arrange a meeting to discuss about its development and to declare a common understanding of the problems arise along with the solution in this industry and marketing of Batik.
Indonesia as the center of Batik should be able to boost a market demand by maintain quality of products. So that, it need to do comparative of Batik products in regard to design quality standardize. Pekalongan Batik Week International (Pekan Batik International) 2013 in the city of Pekalongan is the title of the works of Batik as well as a competition of fine quality of Batik from various region of Indonesia and other countries by performing classy things and deserve to be promoted in the World forums but does not eliminate the value of Batik art and culture with a series of diverse and impressively events. This events is expected to be a master piece from within and from abroad so it become the center of Batik fashion in the World.
Pekalongan Batik Week International (Pekan Batik International) 2013 will be held during the date of October 2nd – 6th, 2013 located in the cultural area Jetayu in the city of Pekalongan and will be participated by 15 different countries.
