Selat Solo is a western-derived Javanese cuisine specialty of Solo city. It consists of braised beef tenderloin serve in thin watery sauce made from a mixture of garlic, vinegar, kecap manis, worcestershire sauce, water, and spiced with nutmeg and blackpepper. It is served with hard boiled egg and vegetables such as string beans, potato, tomato, lettuce, carrot and topped with potato chips and some dash of mustard or mayonnaise on the side.
Selat solo adalah makanan asli dari Solo yang berisi wortel, buncis, ketimun, kentang goreng, selada, telur, kecap dan daging, yang disiram dengan kuah semur plus ditambahkan mayonaise homemade yg agak masam namun segar.
