🌈SERIOUSLY A DREAM COME TRUE! Our SHINee family is Seattle bound from Portland for the Key concert tonight! We’ll all be decked out in the outfits I made! I absolutely cannot believe I’m going to see my ult ult fave tonight!😭💕💕💕💕💕 Say hi if you see us!!!

🌈…+She’s so beautiful and it breaks my heart that she doesn’t see it because of her eczema and the pain of bullying from years ago. I will go on gushing rants about how freaking gorgeous she is in full detail and I think, after this photoshoot, she had a little bit of a breakthrough with how she sees herself. This photoshoot was too short for me- we were chasing the light and I could have spent all day just staring at her through my lens.

OH! And it was time to touch up the highlights in her hair… she was rocking some rose gold for a little bit but it faded so we went with blue!! I’m so madly in love with it! I keep telling her how pretty she is and how much she’s transformed in the past few years! She’s so painfully shy that it makes me so proud to see her coming out of her shell and believing in herself more! She’s had a sense of what she wants her fashion to be and has been steadfast in it for a couple of years now… I just keep telling her to have confidence in herself! If she believes that she is badass and awesome, she can pull off any fashion! It’s all about confidence! It’s the most important accessory any of us can wear when we get dressed!

🌈…+ I used my own drafted patterns for everything, including the adjustable chest bag and the cropped turtleneck w/ thumbholes. I added vectors to both sides of the neckline We're still a family that wears masks so I made her a "She Is" inspired one!

But I did have to make another pleated skirt…
I. hate. pleated. skirts. I love the way they look; my girls love them and ask for them all the time. It’s just a freaking rectangle, why do they always get the best of me?? I think I’m just cursed😅

I also wanted to make a hybrid hanbok/happi coat w/ deep pockets using various artists work and some of my own graphics for the fabric. I linked all the names I could find on my blog post and had it made by I can’t tell you how amazed I was with how it came out!!

🌈SEPTEMBER!!! Ahhhh! It’s such a big month for us! Azy and I had birthdays, and my sister has one too on the 23rd. AND SO DOES !? I looooooove September!!!
Even though I’m (arguably😌) the biggest shawol in the house I scarcely see for myself… I’m more inclined to sew for my muses and I couldn’t be more grateful that they love too!

For her birthday outfit, Azriella wanted something weird, kinda gothy, and very colorful. She
hated my first sketch of a pencil dress underneath so we sketched out this outfit instead.

The fabric I ordered for the shirt was BEGGING to be altered so we decided to fix it by making a TON of Gasoline vectors. We call it the Track List shirt💕 based off of KEY‘s latest and most magnificent ever album, …

We both had birthdays this past week!! She started high school and Sephira started middle school🤧🥹 They’re getting so big!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT 🌈RAINBOW DASH DRESS I ORIGINALLY MADE IS NOW 10YEARS OLD😱😭 I seriously can’t!!!

I drafted a pattern to make some reversible bucket hats for all of us for our trips to Crater Lake and the Beach!!! Oh, and I ofc brought my SHINee light stick to celebrate ‘s comeback that happened while we were away!!!

🌈🎲…PHOTOS! We started out by going out to brunch at Mothers downtown and then we took pictures in the lobby of the attached hotel! The ladies at the front desk were gracious enough to let us use the luggage cart for pictures too! I'll go into detail about the locations in my next set of grids but let me tell you how excited this girl was about doing the "cake shots!" She saved her last piece of the birthday cake I made her and was super cute about posing!

This year marks my 10th year blogging at Sew Chibi Designs!!! 🥳🥳🥳 I don’t think I could have ever imagined all the things I would create, the friendships I would make, and the way I developed my not only my sewing skills but my photography, photo editing, pattern drafting, graphics making, sewing tutorial e-booking from non-existent to things I’m really proud of!!!

Easter is one of those big sewing holiday events for us (even though we are not religious, we take holidays very seriously!!!) This year was the most difficult one yet!!

Hard to believe that Akira is going to be in 3rd grade, Sephira graduated elementary school, and Azriella is starting high schoo! 😱 I’m still really and truly grateful that they still love to wear the things I make them and are always asking for more!

Jonghyun SHOCK shirt cosplay!!! Sephira has always been madly in love with this outfit the wore and has asked for it for years now!! Since she didn't get a proper elementary school graduation, I made her this shirt (using my own pattern as a base!) as a last day of school gift! We're still in the middle of our summer vacation, but I wanted to share the dress I made Azy for her 8th grade graduation! I used this blue vivid blue neoprene from 's fabric and the Blake dress PDF by , sizing it up one size from the 14year! In place of the pleated/gathered skirt, I drafted a cascading circle skirt. I made her a matching neoprene face mask and she wore it with her Saturday Night Blazer.

She. Was. STUNNING!!!

She looked so beautiful!!! Best thing is, it only took about 3 hours to sew (I actually made it day of the graduation!😳) The whole story is up on the blog (link in my profile!)
