What happens when you put Meryl Streep and Anna Wintour—the two Mirandas, as it were—in a room together? A wide-ranging conversation about fashion, family, friendship, and yes, the forthcoming sequel to “The Devil Wears Prada.”

“In terms of Miranda, and coming back to that character 20 years later, I did think honestly about Anna, and tried to imagine what it was like to carry her responsibility and to be as interested in the world and curious as she must have to be,” Streep tells Greta Gerwig in Vogue’s May 2026 cover story. And what did Wintour do when she heard the rumours that “The Devil Wears Prada 2” was happening? She called Streep, of course. “I knew she would tell me if it was going to be all right,” Wintour says. “I trusted her implicitly.”

🦩 🦩 THESE ARE NATURALLY MOULTED FLAMINGO FEATHERS 🦩 🦩

Found these in an auction and simply had to have them. I wasn’t going to be outbid for these small pieces of history!

These feather flowers were created from the naturally moulted feathers of flamingos from Lake Nakuru and its environs in Kenya.

Read the leaflet in the photos , I’m guessing they are from the 1960’s.

The use of flamingo feathers in millinery reached its peak during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Flamingo feathers, along with those from egrets, herons, and birds of paradise, were prized for their vibrant color and were often used to signify high social status and wealth during the Victorian and Edwardian eras.

The excessive demand for exotic feathers spurred early conservation movements, such as the Audubon Society in the US (1886) and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) in the UK (1889).

Following these restrictions, the popularity of using wild bird feathers declined, with fashions shifting toward more sustainable options.
