“Romantic Gatsby Esque feel”. Her bridal designs have a whimsical and romantic feel to them, inspired by movement , dance and nature but are made with great precision.
She pairs these with her more structured often military inspired tailored jackets and coats in fine silks, wools and cashmere, with elements of menswear finishing in the structured shoulders and handstitched linings. Her complex bias cut dresses look effortless, but are made with honed and understated skill. Before she is an artist or a designer caiomhe is a highly skilled craftsperson who is a perfectionist and she employs the skills of experienced specialised crafts people to achieve her final finish. Caiomhe works with experienced tailors, couturists, beaders, embellishers, textile artists and lace makers. Her garments will often have fine hand beaded designs , with embroidery, hand painting, hand made lace with images and symbols representing nature, calling on her background as an artist and painter, her work is rich and creative yet practicle. Using natural and often organic, fair trade or sustainable materilals. With vintage and vintage inspired trims and ozo free or vegetable dyes Caiomhe has a commitment to developing a sustainable business with a fair trade ethos. Her current organic silk collections are inspired by the honey bees, who communicate with each other by dancing but are also highly organised and sustainable communities who offer a model for humanity despite facing possible extinction. Caiomhe provides a personalised bespoke tailoring and design service from her Atelier t/a QUE-VA . Her approach to this tradition of design is very warm and many of her clients have spoken on the very whole and warm service that she provides. She takes time to get to know her clients, to understand them and interpret what they want and translate that into a design that best embodies that persons aspirations but yet something that with suit that person and compliment them in the best possible way
Caiomhe works directly with experienced tailors to provide her bespoke tailoring service to both men and woman. She designs tailored suits in the finest european wools, cashmeres, silks, cottons and linens with silk hand stitched special brightly coloured linings paired up with beautifully finished personalised shirts using Egyptian cotton, sea Island and Italian cottons. Caiomhes haute couture exclusive custom-fitted creations are made to order for specific customers. Made using only the highest quality fabrics, sewn with extreme attention to detail by the most experienced and capable craftspersons often using time consuming hand executed techniques. With her own unique hand made lace, beaded designs with embroidery, applique and embellishments her creations are unique.
