SLAM Works SLAM Works is a small homemade craft business making bespoke, personalisable precious Memory Bears, Cushions, quilts, home decor and anything that can be sewn.

Everything made is ONE OF A KIND as I like to create items as individual as you. Central to the ethos of SLAM WORKS is to promote sustainable, eco friendly and quality products that replace single use products. Where feasible natural fabrics will be used. Sentimental fabrics/Clothes can be transformed into Memory Bear, Cushion or patchwork quilt. All items can be embroidered to include a name, Dat

Meet magnum, my new workhorse, that is the ultimate in sewing technology, according to the faded user manual. There is nothing fancy here , a good old reliable machine that will will definitely be well used and loved here.

These chairs had seen better days. It was just supposed to be new covers but I had to do what I had to do 🙈

✅A good aul scrub using a vinegar, lemon and hot water mix and a dash of elbow grease, removing the stickers, childrens art work and even some maths scribbles
✅a light sanding
✅ an all over oil using coconut oil
✅removal of old covers and under seat fabric and about eleventy million staples per chair
✅a few nails and screws added to give the frames chance of longer survival
✅ new cover from the fabulous tapestry range from The Fabric Counter
✅ new felt on underside of legs

It was well worth it -a total transformation and a very happy customer 🥰🥰
