The And the Kids Class will be mentored by Katya Hicks (Garcheva at the time)., Academy of Art University graduate in Fashion Design and Fine Arts. Academy of Art University, San Francisco, CA is one of top Universities for Fashion Design and the program that they teach is one of the best (to prepare a student for the real world). Katya has also studied at ES- MOD, Paris, France where she gained a lot of couture techniques when it comes to handwork and high quality craftsmenship. After graduating collage, she has worked for various large fashion corporations and some small fashion houses. She has done everything from designing outfits, collections, for NY Fashion week as well as San Francisco Fashion week, to hand drafted patterns and sewing samples. She has also worked the retail aspect of it as well, including merchandising and product development.
