Today we celebrate St Brigid of Kildare otherwise known as Ireland’s original female trailblazer.
Founder, leader, rule-breaker and all-round icon, Brigid was championing independence, sustainability and strong women long before it was fashionable.

And let’s be honest — a woman known for her cloak, her cross and her no-nonsense approach?
Sounds like the original slow-fashion queen to us.

Here’s to women who lead, reuse, reimagine and of course do it in style.

Celebrating 50 Remarkable Years at Hubbert’s, Rosscarbery

From foodstore and butcher shop in 1975, to craft shop, café, and today’s much-loved vintage fashion haven, Hubbert’s has always been about community, creativity, and resilience.

For half a century, we’ve grown, adapted, and thrived thanks to the support of loyal customers, neighbours, friends, and family. What began with Willie and I taking a chance on a building in West Square has become a vibrant part of Rosscarbery life.

To everyone who has shared this journey with us over 50 years—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Here’s to the memories we’ve made together and the adventures still to come.
