Not hat yet… A cultural project that I am doing recently. I am trying to turn the transitional Cantonese flower board design into a craft of greeting card/ decoration for children.

Selected as one of the top 10 finalists of the most stylish lady competition at Cork Racecourse today. Although it was windy and I was a bit tired, I had a fun day. Congratulations to the winner. Of course I made my hat. Outfit is just mix and match new and old stuff. My little purse was bought in Las Vegas during my last trip. Vintage and made in Hong Kong. I am very proud 😆

When I tell people that I make hats, they will immediately say to me that my hat looks amazing. Then I will tell them, no I didn’t make this one. I bought this from 😂😂😂😂 This is my go to hat. I wear it all the times. I even wore it to California.

I don’t need a reason to wear a hat.

I am slowly adapting to my new Irish life and picking up millinery again. There is so much to learn every day. Parenting is one thing big to learn. Time managing is another. And my biggest challenge is to get enough sleep and to squeeze time to sit down in front of my work station. This little teardrop was made long ago before I left HK. And I recently picked it up and added the hand dyed flowers to it.

Finally I unboxed my hats which I shipped over to my new permanent home. look at them they are still in their best of shape even though they have traveled for thousands miles. I am so looking forward to sending the toddler to the crèche later next month so I can start doing millinery again!

I love hydrangea. I cut 150 petals from some silk organza fabric, painted each of them with dye to create the unique shades. The beautiful Irish summer inspires me and I am so in love with the green and the colours and the unexpected Irish weather!

I am so thrilled that I was short-listed as the top five finalists at today’s Galway Races ladies day it is truly surprising and I am glad that I could join in the event even though we can’t travel far. Congratulations to all the finalists and the winners
