The notice below was found when we renovated Con Murphys in 1990. It is a permission granted by the London council in Whitehall and it allows workers to be employed on Saturdays. It is dated 1869. Our building is over 200 years old and it was one of only a few buildings that survived the burning of Cork in 1920.
We opened at 60 Patrick Street on the 7th of November 1932, so we will celebrate 90 years trading in Cork in about 3 weeks time!
