Life as a mom is so much better when you get an hour of sleep with your little mini-me 👶 As soon as the sleep deprivation kicks in you turn into momzilla 😤 The whole world seems against you and everything you do seems to go wrong. But as soon as you get your power nap 💪😴 you wake up as a superhero 🦸‍♀️ Give yourself a chance to be the best parent you can be by allowing yourself to snuggle buggle into a few moments of peace and quiet with your little one 🥰 and wake up energized, refreshed and ready to take on the world 🌎 ⠀⠀

So for the past couple of days I’ve felt quite dizzy. Some days dizzier than others. As I’ve read up about it it seems to be caused by dehydration while breastfeeding 🤱 Have any of you epic mamas experienced something similar? I’ve noticed that I often forget to drink enough water throughout the day💧 I now have water bottles placed around the house in the spots I spend most of my time while I’m feeding my baby as small reminders to always drink and to always have water within reach. Don’t forget to stay hydrated! ⠀⠀

O how you grow so fast and so strong 🙏 You are a go-getter and are so impatient to be able to do more. If you had the chance to skip a few stages you’d go straight from lying helpless on your back to walking🚶‍♀️ But every now and again you snuggle up onto my chest and I hold you dearly in my arms, knowing that this precious moment won’t last forever ❤️ I’m enjoying every second when you seek my comfort and I’m beyond happy to give you my unconditional love as much as you need 🥰 Because the truth is that as much as you need my love I need it just as much to give it to you as I would not be able to contain this overwhelming tsunami of love that I have for you 😘 I love you my precious 👼⠀⠀

My blue-eyed butterfly 🦋 How my heart overflows with love 💗 and can’t stop pouring every time I look into you eyes is beyond me. The moment I held you in my arms for the first time is burned on retina forever. I remember every sensation and every sound. One of the things I found so hard during my postpartum was the fact I had to deal with my limitations. I was tired, low on energy and emotional a lot of the time. I found myself lying in bed 🛌 which was nothing like me. When I’m not productive I feel like a failure and it was really hard to accept where I was at physically, mentally and emotionally. People kept saying that this is normal after labour and to give myself the chance to recuperate. After a few weeks of catching up on sleep 😴 I finally felt my strength returning. That’s when Sophia and I put our new bed together, with some help of course from daddy and her big brother 💪😇 I finally felt good about myself after completing this big project and it gave me the courage to forgive myself for not being able to do more at this time. Slowly but surely I am regaining my strength and start to do things around the house again and I feel good about myself again. One thing I learned from this that the first step to self-healing in a postpartum journey is to accept where you are at and that that’s okay! Don’t be so harsh on yourself. Everything will happen at the right time if you let it ❤️🙏⠀⠀

Never been happier in my entire life 🙏 I remember the time I used look for my happiness outside of myself. I thought happiness was a destination until I realized that it’s the journey that lets us experience it. It’s the moment we’re in it that we should be celebrating because happiness is an emotion that can leave us in an instant. Appreciate every moment you get with your family and don’t take it ever for granted 🙏⠀⠀
