One of the things I love most about my work is all the gorgeous women it has allowed me to meet. One such human is the wonderful Emma Good, creative director & photographer, and someone I look forward to spending more time with.

We came together to shoot some of my work, split between my studio and her home in Wicklow. Grateful for the conversations that flowed, the beauty she captured, the creativity + ease she brought & mostly her company. More to come from this one soon x

My incredible firstborn emigrated a week ago last Saturday. I distracted myself with the impending departure by making her a quilt. I used indigo scraps & antique pieces I’d accumulated since I started natural dyeing 16 years ago. Some I dyed, some I found & some gifted. This is a feeling quite unlike any other I’ve had as a parent & my heart is raw x

Two months of work finished & ready to be framed. Hand dyed with plant dyes & patiently pieced together. I’m not sure where I’m going with this or how to bring it together but by the time I’ve finished the other pieces I’m sure things will be clearer 🫣🤔☺️🤷🏻‍♀️

Join us on April 25th, for a hands-on 3-hour introduction to natural dyeing. Learn how to extract colour from plants, prep fabric, & dye textiles. Experiment with colour, build a soothing palette, create all kinds of beauty & take home a finished piece.
