3 months today since sweet Clementine burst into our lives. Our little miracle.

You may have noticed I have been quite absent from my business over the last year, well now you know why! In the 5 years I have spent building my brand I was also trying to start a family. So when things finally happened, I made sure to take plenty of nourishing time off - still on going!

I wanted to quickly pop on to tell you I am still here and that Modh has not disappeared, just taken a pause, for the best possible reason!

I will keep you updated as I return to the studio, whenever that may be. But for now I hope everyone is enjoying some energising Spring goodness - my favourite time of year! 🌱

Round up of Modh's First International Event in Paris last week in the beautiful surrounds of Château de Vincennes! (With a little birthday celebration thrown in too - great timing! 🎂)

Introduced a few new colours to both the Irish linen tableware and Holdall bags - alot of love for the catechu brown bag which sold out 🤎 🌿
I promise to update the website soon! 😁

Merci beaucoup to and for inviting me to take part. And to the wonderful Christine and team from the Vincennes Town Hall for looking after us!

My quilted wall hanging proudly hung in for Collect 2025

"C O N N E C T E D"

This quilt was inspired by Ireland’s growing community of changemakers, all connected through eco conscious practices and a shared concern for the environment. The segments of the quilt symbolise this community and my connection to it through my eco prints. Furthermore, the whole piece is quilted together with a hand-sewn stitch using thread from - the only flax farm in Ireland currently producing true Irish linen from seed to fibre - representing a progressive future of regenerative textiles in Ireland.

The quilt is made up of repurposed linen scraps. All the scrap pieces were retained in their original shape to create a more organic pattern. Before they were sewn together, they were eco printed using only three core plants - Weeping Willow and Blackberry leaves foraged from around Dublin and Coreopsis flowers grown in my dye garden. The used plants were then simmered in water to extract more dye for the block colour segments. Repurposed felted natural wool insulation was used for the quilt’s padding.

Thanks to for a truly inspiring symposium held last year that influenced this piece a great deal!

✨️SHOWCASE IRELAND 2025✨️

An overwhelming experience in the best kind of way! Thanks to the event, I am extremely thrilled to say that Modh will be stocked in 4 gorgeous stores across Ireland (so far) in the coming months!! This is a very big moment for me and I couldn’t be more proud of how far I’ve come with Modh. I am so excited to see my eco printed designs sitting on shop shelves - I worked for over a decade in fashion retail so this feels so crazy to me!

Thank you so much to every person that stopped by to chat about my work, I absolutely love spreading the word on natural dyes and I was so humbled by such a positive response to my designs. I got the most compliments about the wall colour of my stand! (Bitter Chocolate no. 2 by Dulux for those that were asking!)

And thank you to my absolutely amazing neighbours who were the best support over the 3 days - Sadhbh Cara Kirsten .ie and Laura looking after stand. I miss you all!

Thank you and Lorraine and for all your support before the show, through which I found an amazing group of inspiring entrepreneur pals

And lastly it was a huge honour to have my Irish linen placemats selected as part of The Edit. The display was so gorgeous!

Onwards and upwards!

I had the best time down in Carlow on Sunday taking part in a group call for a promotional video. We were hosted by lovely Christine and her family at The food was divine and the company was even better!

I thoroughly enjoyed being surrounded by like minded people all doing their part to create in a meaningful and earth conscious way. I loved learning more about each person's practice - I always find it hard to not follow down more rabbit holes within the textile industry…check back in a few years when I have my own crop of flax for linen and flock of sheep for wool! 😅

Chris set me up on her peg loom and showed me how to weave some fleece from a one year old Hedwick sheep called Bonnie into a tuffet (as in miss muffet sat on her tuffet!). Thanks to Bonnie I now have an incredibly comfortable and warm cushion for my studio chair - it is now my favourite possession! I think might be Bonnie in the first photo??

Thank you so much to David, our videographer who was so kind and worked with unwavering determination despite the terrible weather! We were blessed with a clear spell towards the end of the day and managed to get some beautiful shots of the infamous rough circle sheep! I fell in love with every one of them of course!

And last, but by no means least, thank you to the team behind for putting this all together - I am endlessly thankful for all that you do for us fibre folk here in Ireland.

🌿Sustainability at Modh🐝

I Finally got around to updating the website with a Sustainability section. The word is thrown around so much these days that I often hate using it myself so I really wanted to reclaim it and make some space for a clear explanation of what makes Modh SUSTAINABLE. Head on over to modh.ie to find out more 😊🌍🦔🌼🍃
