This is a nice picture of Benecio Del Toro. He looks like a nice Spanish man. I think he's Spanish. Anyway that's not important. What is important is that AI is not cool. When I started this instagram page, I thought the images of sloths wearing tweed cardigans and posing for photographs were were a fun way to use AI, but it wasn't long before AI became just this foul smelling urine of the internet - Good for diagnosing urinary tract infection but bad to have around or to immerse yourself in or rub all over your body. Since then the internet has completely turned on AI images and they are the emblem of a broken internet where bots reply to AI images posted by bots.

And people probably assumed that the little blurbs I wrote to go with the sloth images were also AI generated, but they weren't. I think the internet collectively has a very good sensor for nonsense and things that are bad or a scam. Examples include VR, 3D televisions, NFTs, the metaverse, microtransactions, and now AI images.

Good riddance AI images. Let us now usher in the age of images of nice, probably Spanish men. Also the image on the sloth tshirt design was not AI generated. A nice lady in USA drew it and then I asked her to draw another but my incessant notes on her drafts were super annoying so she ghosted me. To be fair, I was being very, very annoying. I was sending her pictures of breeds of cow and how bruce springsteen crossed his legs when meeting Obama. I'm sorry Rene

Two of the occasional sloth models going up the Dublin Mountains today in the snow. It was hat and fingerless glove weather today, but it was also tshirt weather. Yes that's right, you can wear the occasional sloth organic cotton tshirts in the snow and you won't die of cold. Although you may get funny looks from passing dogs.

Introducing John Sloth. John is a man with quite a singular focus. We have a small courtyard in the building where The Occasional Sloth workshop is located, and the sloths like to go out there to swing around on the tree and get some fresh air. Unfortunately, the building manager doesn't allow us access the courtyard because he says the building insurance doesn't cover tree swinging, and only partly covers some fresh air getting.

The door to the courtyard is a fire exit, and so when the sloths go out on their break, it will close behind them and they will be unable to get back in. That's where John comes in. John's job is to stand inside the door and open it when the sloths are ready to come back in. John is happy to sit inside the door and have chats with the sloths as they come and go.

One of the human people working in one of the offices in the building suggested that the sloths could just use a stick or something to keep the door open when they go out, but if we did that then then John would just be sitting on a chair inside the door for no reason, and that would be no good at all.

Keep up the good work John!

I'm working on our next The Occasional Sloth design and trying to describe to our excellent artist how a sloth might hold a coffee... As you can see, Dall-E does not hold the answer!

Merry Christmas from all of us at The Occasional Sloth. We asked Derek Sloth to dress up as Santa Claus for our Christmas party and he arrived looking like this. We think he makes a pretty convincing Santa Claus sloth, but he does exude something of an intense energy. We took close to hundred photos of him, and this is the one in which he looked the most 'jolly'. Perhaps next year we'll ask someone else, and save Derek for Halloween!

He sees you when you're sleeping.

Meet Henry, from our research and development department. Although he's seems more interested in tweed than test tubes, his work speaks for itself - even if that work is being done in a very non-regulation lab coat.

He enjoys making soups and sharing them with Brenda. She is known for her gourmet homemade Iguana soup, while Henry has a tendency to mix noxious dyes and detergents over a bunsen burner. The resulting fumes may account for his somewhat drowsy demeanour, but then again most of our sloths look like this.

We're not sure if Henry even eats his soup. We hope he doesn't considering it is likely very toxic. He is just looking to spend quality time with his friend Brenda. There have been suggestions that there is more than soup brewing between the two of them, but Henry says he thinks they're probably just first cousins.

It's time for the The Occasional Sloth Christmas party, and everyone is getting in the festive spirit. Christmas jumpers are optional at this party, as our sloth colleagues believe that a party is the perfect opportunity to show off their finest tweed attire (finding a tweed Christmas jumper is a rare and elusive feat).

Proinnsías Sloth here is all ready to party, and says he has been napping at his desk all day in preparation, so that he's ready to go when 5pm comes. I suggested to him that he spends most days napping at his desk. He did not appreciate this accusation, muttered something under his breath and went back to sleep. Hopefully he's in a better mood when the party gets going.

If you're looking for a stylish and sustainable way to add some whimsy to your wardrobe, check out the organic cotton t-shirts for sale on our website. They're the perfect addition to any outfit. Happy partying!

So, look. We got our first review on our first t-shirt and we were initially very suspicious. We asked Sandra if she had written it, and she said no. So we went around to everyone else, and they also denied writing it. With their permission, we then checked the internet browsing history of everyone working at The Occasional Sloth, and it seems like this is really a genuine review (and also that we need to introduce a siteblocker).

And we're not surprised by the review, because the t-shirts are amazing, but we are delighted. So thank you to the reviewer, and I suspect it WILL arrive in time for Christmas! You've made all our sloths feel very good about themselves

Delighted to see thebnoth on TikTok enjoying his The Occasional Sloth t-shirt while telling us all about his entertaining, but gustatorily unpleasant trip to a local shop through the medium of boogie!

Get a sloth t-shirt for yourself or for someone you like from theoccasionalsloth.com in time for Christmas!

With October just around the corner, it’s getting harder and harder to pretend that it’s still summer. But it was a nice day today, so we decided to make the most of it and have our lunch in a local park. Everyone brought their food outside and we all ate and laughed and played the banjo. Sloths love playing the banjo. We will readily admit we’re not very good at playing the banjo, but we love it all the same.

Frederick is not a fan of being in nature at all and he told Sandra that he can’t wait for the sun to go away so he doesn’t have to go outside and enjoy it. After a wasp landed on his leg, he went inside in a huff. Sandra ate the rest of his sandwich. For Frederick, October can’t come quickly enough
