The Eager Beaver will close its doors...

Well, all good things inevitably come to an end and it's with heavy hearts that we announce that The Beaver will finally close due to retirement in the coming weeks. We will announce the actual date as this becomes known.

When we started way back in 1986 we thought we might perhaps last in business for approx 5 years or so. Well, here we are thirty-three years later calling it a day on the extraordinary journey we embarked upon then. We couldn’t have achieved this without our incredible customers from Ireland and all four corners of the globe. We were also blessed with so many amazing staff members who assisted us in creating that special buzz which identified the store. Two of whom were our wonderful children, Stephen and Jill together with our nephews David, Alan and Ross. Not forgetting the lovely Mary Mc. Also, a special vielen dank to our German friends Bert and Ute who supported us right from the beginning.

We want to say a great big thank you to all our staff and customers for being such an essential part of The Beaver’s story, leaving us with so many happy memories into our retirement.
