Husband and wife team Gerry and Clare Cosgrave have finally got to realise their lifelong dream of having their own alteration business with the opening of their new shop ‘The Alteration Rooms’. Clare had already been working many years as a seamstress and went on to manage that store while Gerry gained years of experience out-fitting menswear and then managing other stores. “Little did we realise

that years later we would get this opportunity to offer the full range of alteration services from our own shop”. The Alteration Rooms is spacious with two large fittings rooms to ensure your privacy and comfort for your personal fitting. They offer the full range of alteration services including resizing outfits, repairing damaged clothes or replacing broken zips – whatever you need for that favourite piece of clothing. Clare also has a vast range of experience in the Bridal and Debutant Department and can offer great advice to future Brides to be, Bridesmaids and Mother of the Bride and can make the alterations that will enhance your outfit so that you look at your very best on that most important day of your life. An exciting and unique addition to the alteration service, Clare also specializes in wardrobe revamping where she will go to your home by appointment and offers a bespoke consultation tailored to your individual needs. In other words, if your wardrobe is bursting with old and tired clothes Clare will help you to decide what to keep, what to discard and what can be altered for a fresh new look. The Alteration Rooms can also help you revamp your home - They can alter curtains, make cushions and offer advice on ways to keep your interior drapery costs down. Gerry and Clare have many years of experience and have the expertise to ensure that your clothes fit you perfectly and know how to help you look at your best.
