Over 70 years and I still hold the wool this way.

I never imagined that simply sharing the way I crochet would inspire so many people to want to try it themselves 🥹

For the longest time, I honestly thought the way I crocheted was a bit “wrong” or unusual, which is why I never felt confident enough to give lessons. I assumed there was only one “proper” way to do it.

But reading all your lovely comments from people saying this finally makes sense to them, or that they now feel encouraged to give crochet a try, has been so special to me ❤️

Maybe there really isn’t just one right way after all, sometimes it’s just about finding the way that works for you.

When my position was made redundant in my 50’s during the financial crash, I honestly thought that chapter of my life was over.

Jobs were scarce, times were tough and I quietly convinced myself nobody would employ me again.

Rachel said, ‘Why don’t we try a few craft fairs?’ and that one little idea changed everything.

What started at small local fairs slowly turned into something neither of us could have imagined.

Years later, my crochet somehow found its way across the internet and into people’s homes, messages and hearts.

The love, kindness and connection this craft has brought into my life still amazes me every single day.

I’m so grateful I didn’t stop creating ❤️
