This is not an easy note to write. After twelve years, I’ve decided to take a pause from running Theo + George.
When I started Theo + George, it was with a simple belief:
Women deserved better.
Better quality. Better design.
And most of all, a better way to buy fashion that didn’t come at the cost of our planet. I wanted to create timeless, sustainable basics that you could love for years, and together, we built a community that believed in that vision.
Over time, “sustainability” became a buzzword in the industry. Greenwashing crept in, and I found myself frustrated that the values we cared so deeply about were being diluted. I couldn’t sit back and watch. That’s when the seed for Kinset was planted - a new venture dedicated to driving circularity at scale, using data to bring real transparency to fashion and to help brands focus on making clothing that truly lasts.
It’s a new chapter for me, but it means I can no longer do both. And so, Theo + George will be closing. For the next few weeks, everything will be on final sale, so if there is a favorite piece you love, now is the time to make it yours before everything is gone for good.
Most of all, I just want to say thank you.
Thank you for believing in Theo + George. Thank you for supporting sustainable fashion when it wasn’t always the easy choice. And thank you for letting me share this journey with you.
And a very special thank you to the incredible team behind the scenes, the people who made everything seem effortless, even when it wasn’t. Your hard work, creativity, and heart made Theo + George what it is today, and I am endlessly grateful to all of you.
