💛 After 25 years In business on Abbeygate street, yesterday we closed our doors for the final time. It was an emotional moment, (helped by a nice glass of bubbles)
We have been so utterly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from so many people. Although I’m not quite sure why I’m surprised, after all Kembali has always had a particular lovely magic to it, so much so I’m not quite able to quantity what that is. Not every year was easy, we all had our own triumphs and tragedies. However, the friendships formed between Jean-Clause and the staff members and customers alike, I have no doubt will last well into the future, which is a truly lovely legacy to leave. We want to thank everyone single one of our loyal customers, Uber the years guy have kept the shop and our Grá for it alive and well, and for that we are so very grateful. To all our lovely neighbours, sincerely thank you all so much for the laughs and support and making this wee corner of Galway so special. I have no doubt it is in great hands. And finally, to all of our frankly incredible staff, both present and past, through music and good natured vibes, fun and ability, you were the very heart and backbone of this incredible establishment, truly making it what it was. On a personal note, I would like to thank Jean-Claude, the amazing owner of Kembali. I want to thank you for entrusting me with such a special business. It was a privilege to work along side you for so many years in a place I truly loved. Love and light to you all, go gently and keep dancing, Grá, Siobhán (Manager)
