Bag Noir I have a passion for bags! I love making them, wearing them and buying them! All clutches and bags are handmade in Ireland by me (Mon).

They are made from high quality fabrics and funky materials to add a bit of luxury. For everyone wondering who is behind Bag Noir, this is me on the right ☺️. I am not a public face and usually stay behind the scenes—the one who cuts, sews, and takes the pictures! I am a self-taught stitcher. I watched hundreds of YouTube videos to learn how to thread my first sewing machine, make the perfect straight stitch, and wind a bobbin. I’m very stubborn and can spend days perfecting a project, often refusing to leave the house until it’s done!
I love reading, swimming, hiking and adore my bicycle. I’m very fussy about my coffee and my Earl Grey tea. I’ve been a vegetarian for 30 years, with only two or three accidental slips caused by waitress mistakes. One memorable slip was in a restaurant in Sardinia, where the owner, recently trained at Ballymaloe Cookery School, proudly served me a bean soup that was absolutely divine—except it contained bacon. Well that’s for now😉

English paper piecing is a method of patchwork where fabric is wrapped around shapes made of heavy paper. Once the shapes are wrapped and ready, are hand sew together one at time! Was a lot of sewing 🧵
