I’ve helped hundreds of brides find their wedding dress and one thing I’ve learned is this…🙌🏼

That little ‘what if?’ voice usually isn’t because it’s the wrong dress. 😢

It’s because saying yes feels like a big step. 🤍

If you’re feeling stuck, ask yourself these questions:

✨If I came here on my own, which dress would I still be thinking about?

✨Which dress makes me feel the most like me?

✨Can I picture myself walking towards my partner in this dress?

✨If the boutique rang tomorrow and said this dress had been sold, would I feel relieved…or completely gutted?

✨Am I waiting for a feeling that’s already there and just too scared to trust it?

Sometimes, the hardest part isn’t FINDING your dress…👗

It’s TRUSTING yourself enough to say yes. 🤍

How do you know when you’ve found ‘THE ONE’? 🤍

When you don’t want to try on anymore dresses…when you don’t want to take the dress off…when it brings emotion…when you say a quiet ‘this is it’…when you feel like you…when you know you would choose it again in a heartbeat in 30 years time…when you can see yourself in it when you are daydreaming about your wedding day…when you know you would go to the next boutique looking for the same feeling that this dress gives you…when you feel excited butterflies in your stomach…✨

There are lots of signs in a bridal appointment that tell you that you have found ‘the one’. And this is different for EVERYONE. ❤️

The obstacle to saying yes to your dress (when you know you want to 🤍) is often uncertainty - FOMO if I don’t get to the next shop, what if I change my mind, what if the whole world doesn’t love it as much as I do (they won’t…but you don’t dress to suit the whole world), what if I regret it, what if, what if, what if…

What if you stop thinking about the uncertainties and go with your gut? Has that never been wrong? 💫

Trust yourself.
Trust the feeling.
Trust the dress that makes you say…this is the one. 💍

If a veil isn’t your style, you could consider…
✨ A statement bow
✨ A flowing chiffon / organza / tulle train
✨ A bridal cape
✨ A detachable overskirt
✨ A hairpiece or fresh flowers in your hair
✨ Or simply…nothing at all

Choosing an alternative to a veil can make your look feel more personal and create a style that’s uniquely yours. 👰🏻‍♀️

So you have made your decision about which bridal boutique you want to visit, your appointment is booked and it seems like everyone wants to go with you 🙈. How many do I bring? Who do I bring? How do I tell someone they are not coming with me? 😢

One of the biggest mistakes you can make is feeling like you have to invite everyone who wants to come. Too many opinions can make it harder to concentrate, harder to think, harder to feel. 👰‍♀️

My advice:
✨ Bring 2-4 people whose opinions you genuinely trust. Or come on your own!
✨ Choose the people who know you, not just what they like.
✨ Invite those who will support your decision, even if it’s not the dress they would choose.

If someone expects an invite but you’d rather keep it small, it’s okay to say: 💁🏻‍♀️

“I’m keeping the appointment really small so I don’t get overwhelmed.”
Or
“I’ve decided to just bring my mum/stepmum/mother figure and/or maid of honour, but I can’t wait to show you photos afterwards.”
Or
“I’m actually going on my own for this appointment so I can figure out what suits me”.

Setting boundaries doesn’t make you selfish. If they love you, they will understand. It’s that simple.❤️
