The sun is actually bright and visible in the sky this morning, and although I didn’t make the sunrise, it feels just as good to take a small pause, sit in the meadow and feel the gorgeous warmth of the sunshine on my face.
Technically, the solstice takes place this morning at 9.24am, when the Northern Hemisphere is tilted closest towards the sun. But beyond the science, it always feels like a magical time of year, a time to celebrate and be thankful for the warmer light and all that it brings.
For the energy it gives.
For the food growing quietly around us.
For the delicious early fruits of the season.
For all the life being held and nourished by the earth.
Today feels like a good day to pause, breathe it in, gather, celebrate, and remember that we are part of all of this too.
Wishing you a wonderful Summer Solstice, filled with light 🌞
