It's Frankenstyle! My brilliant Granny taught me to crochet when I was little. Wool began to take over my home.

I started crocheting warm fuzzy things many years ago mainly for myself. Before long I had requests and commissions, and my own little shop to work and sell from. I've found my own style, based on the colour and texture of the yarns in my ridiculous stash. My creativity flows at a fast pace and I often add new designs as well as sometimes making bespoke items or taking on more unusual commissions.

When my kids were tiny and I was looking for a way to work from home I discovered Katwise and her awesome sweatercoat tutorial which inspired me to start my own upcycling journey. Patchworking together scraps and oddments is a rewarding outlet for my urge to create... it's Frankenstyle!

My kid commissioned this for his friend's birthday. It's the silliest derpiest extinct fish I've ever seen. I was lucky enough to see her reaction when she opened it and she yelled "IT'S A SACABAMBASPIS!"
This was such a fun thing to make and I'm so pleased with myself for making an instantly recognisable 😆

I jumped on the granny square hen craze, and I love it! I did this one in grey and white, remembering our first three chickens years ago, the Egyptian Fayoumis - Mrs Doyle, Mrs Cake, and Mrs Overall.
They were challenging little birds who were flighty and combative, but fun to watch, and the eggs were good! 🐔🐔🐔
