Merino racked-knitted mittens for the colder days ahead ✨

Swipe through to see a few clips of them being hand-loomed on the machine.

These are actually one of my favourite pieces this season - they are so fine and soft.

I’ve a few ready to post currently.

A small, thoughtful little stocking filler if you’re still hunting for something special.

🌞🌞🌞 WINTER SUN 🌞🌞 🌞

I didn’t see much sun today but a few weeks ago it broke through just long enough for me to grab my camera and capture the scarves.

Conway Mill where I work from is a character in its own right - full of atmosphere and a beautiful backdrop for my work when the sun hits it.

The Hibernia Sweater has sold out for Christmas 🎄

I hadn’t planned to launch it properly until spring, but after a lovely mention from Deirdre Mc Quillan, it took off!

Since each one is handmade by me, I’m now fully booked for this design until January. New orders will be ready in late Jan / early Feb.

Thank you all so much for the amazing support — I’m blown away. I’ll be bringing the collection back early next year and will have a little more capacity then.

Next stop: the Irish Pop-Up Collective on 7th December 💚

I took a dander down to last night. If you liked my earlier, quieter work, you can still find a few pieces at 397 Ormeau Road — limited stock, and once they’re gone, that’s it! ✨

A huge thank you to for creating this beautiful video. I only asked him to pop in and grab a few clips while I was making — but he turned up fully prepared, mics and all — and we ended up doing an impromptu off-the-cuff interview.

My studio is a mess 🤦🏻‍♀️ but this is what it’s actually like day to day.

Couldn’t have asked for a better person to capture me and my space– thank you, Niall.🙏💛

I never thought I’d be doing one of these whingey ripped off posts but…

Anyone see any similarities between these and my designs for ????

The combination of bands of Celtic knots with repeated motifs of pints/fish/lighthouses etc was something I’d never seen before. I spent many months experimenting and prototyping in my studio to bring these ideas to life.

Lots of original designs are pillaged for fast fashion and I’m not about to get on a soap box to denounce that. I don’t believe in gate keeping ideas. It also makes designs available to people who can’t afford something hand made in Ireland. So I’m not morally against a bit of copying. Creative ideas need to flow 🌀

However I think companies like Islander Edit (who are they? Can’t find them?) should approach independent designers whose work they like and pay them to rework their designs for that market.

I did all the ground work here in terms of concept and I don’t get one brass penny out the profit Islander Edit is getting. That’s a sickener.

Also I would made their designs wayyyyy nicer so it would have benefited us both 💅🏻

Anyway isn’t this all a bit juicy isn’t it?! It’s even a little bit flattering. But flattery doesn’t pay the bills 🤑
