Tealightful is a small Irish business that creates unique handmade gifts using beautiful vintage fine bone china. I enjoy exploring creative ways to breathe new life into the china, ensuring that it continues to be used and appreciated. The items that I hand make include Teacup Candles, Jewellery and Tiered Cake/Jewellery Stands. The hand poured candles are made from natural unscented soy wax. As
the candles burn down through the fine china they give a spectacular glow. Once the candle is fully burned the teacup can be washed out with hot soapy water and re used as a tea light holder, jewellery storage, to serve condiments or simply for your next cup of tea! My Jewellery includes necklaces, earrings and cuff links that are made from unique pieces of china that have been cut, sanded and set by hand. The vintage china has lots of character and the patterns are either one off or very limited. I love the idea that fifty years ago someone may have been drinking tea out of a cup that is now a necklace! The Tiered Cake Stands and Jewellery Stands are made using highly decorative vintage fine bone china plates that are full of charm and history. They vary in size from one to three tiers. I also really enjoy doing commission pieces for clients using their own family china. Creating a special necklace, candle or cake stand using china that has great sentimental value, and has oftentimes been passed down through generations, gives me a huge amount of pleasure.
