Olive Stack Gallery is proud to host a special Meet & Greet event featuring current Artists in Residence: Barbera Ploeg and Stacey Pilkington-Smith. This gathering offers a unique opportunity to engage with two internationally exhibiting artists whose practices span continents, disciplines, and deeply personal narratives. Celebrating two artists whose paths cross through creativity and storytelling:

Barbera Ploeg — Dutch painter creating emotional oil portraits and still lifes, self‑taught, internationally collected, and recently placing 9th in Painting of the Year 2024.

Stacey Pilkington‑Smith — multidisciplinary artist from Lincolnton, NC, working through Appalachian folklore, speculative ecology, and community‑rooted storytelling.

Two different worlds, shared passion for meaningful art.

This event invites the public to explore the artists’ current work, hear about their creative processes, and connect over shared stories and inspirations. Whether you're a longtime supporter of the arts or simply curious, all are welcome to attend
