At the heart of what I do is my love for traditional fabrics and methods and my desire to transport them onto cloth.These can be seen in the hand drawn sketches of the workers in the fields harvesting flax for linen,the women spinning wool,the rich patterns of the Galway shawl,all influenced by the colours of nature,the soft rambling rose,the blackberries,the ferns.This is my story.

Limited edition ‘Róisín Glas - Connemara Green’ silk blended velvet wrap/stole with embroidered roses and leaves in reverse appliqué using hand dyed vintage lace, silk plisse, crystals and Connemara marble beads. . A luxurious silk velvet wrap, bagged out in the same dark green velvet that offers a multitude of options for styling. Only two will be made in each colour way. Thank you .christie

Thank you .christie as I put the final touches to the limited edition collection of silk velvet wraps/stoles…2.5metres long, embroidered using the reverse appliqué technique and embellished with vintage Irish crochet and silk tulle with precious beads and crystals. This is the “Róisín Dubh - dark red” 2.5cm long in silk velvet.

‘Naoise’ - Prussian Blue silk@scarf/bandana. 70cm x 70cm. An all over hand painted modern interpretation of Irish crochet using indigo ink and a Japanese style mop brush to create soft, gestural lines and tones. An arrangement of rose and leaf motifs are connected with the traditional ‘bars’ that form the background of most Irish crochet pieces.
