Kane Shoe Repairs has the continued pleasure of saving soles and heeling our customers for 55 happy years, and we hope to continue to serve the people of Cork for many more years to come. As a traditional shoe repair service based in Midleton, we believe in repairing shoes (and most anything else!) the good ol' fashioned way with a wee bit of modern ingenuity and magic thrown in among the best mat

erials we have to offer. As was passed from father to son for three generations, we as a family business take pride in providing work that is clean, durable, professional, and most importantly, work that will put a smile on our customers faces.

Retirement Notice

Hello friends and customers.

It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to close the shop, Kane Shoe Repairs, 8 Cork Road, Midleton. Due to ongoing health issues, I am no longer capable of doing the quality of work to which you have become accustomed.

Kane Shoe Repairs was originally opened in 1970 by my late father, Robert Kane. I took over the business in 1982, and have fantastic memories of my 41 years working there, meeting the people of Midleton and beyond.

I take this opportunity to say a great, big “Thank You” to all the generations who have come through the door over these years. Thank you for supporting my business and for the many friendships.

I will cherish the happy memories forever.

A pair of gentleman's Ecco loafers left with us with perishing soles, a problem solved by whipping off the old, EVA units, and rebuilding the whole sole and heel using Vibram Cross Hatch rubber.

We also gave them a good rub of tidy Kiwi polish, of course!
