We cannot thank you enough for all the good wishes. Cards, letters, chocolates. flowers, wine, cheese, toiletries, candles, cakes, homemade scones, vouchers etc and lots of fizz too!! A shop is only as good as the people working there - I wish I had a photo of everyone who worked for us but you know who you are and I'm forever grateful. As well as the legend that is Trisha, all of my family, and friends too, have helped me in some way or another (from behind counter to modelling, delivering, electrical repairs, recycling - you name it!) where would I have been without all the help. Oh, and my mother was one of the first volunteers 🥰

This photo was taken on my first day in business- the reason I'm putting it up is not to show you that a dark bob isn't my best look but to chat about connections made in small businesses and the differences we can all make. I was only 6 months home from living in London and had been researching suitable stock lines for a shop. I had spotted these silk paintings (behind me in photo) in Dublin and I thought they would be a great fit to compliment all the Irish jewellery etc that I was planning to stock. Anyway, I found the artists number (this was way before social media obviously) and decided to call her to see how I could see her and place in order. We had a great chat on the phone and at the end of the conversation she said "You sound honest, I'll send you a collection of best sellers and sure you can pay me whenever you get the money together". A few days later a big delivery arrived of about 30 paintings. We've been friends ever since. They obviously all sold and many after them! The artist was -artist based in Kilworth, Co Cork and you can find her online. I have met many more wonderful people throughout the years and I hope I've done a good turn where I could. Never underestimate personal connections 😊
