Sewing and quilting has been the last thing on my mind since the start of the summer. Life getting in the way. These are what I completed prior to June of this year. The twisted table runner is on my table as I type. The teddy was over due by a couple of years. The log cabin quilt was a bitter sweet labour of love. Sadly the recipient didn’t live very long after it was completed . It was very kindly returned to me by the grieving family and I am treasuring it as it is now forever associated with my great friend who is sadly missed.

Well guys..it's only 4 days to go til the fair..I am so excited..there is so many crafts to choose from..we even have Claire on board to do some face painting..I hope that ul drop into see us..we wud really appreciate the support...thanks Bernardine

There are a few places vacant in the quilting & patchwork classes being run in Claremont Stadium . This course Is supported by the LMETB which makes the course great value for money. During the 8 weeks the participants will learn the basics of patchwork and quilting. They will get to learn about popular symbols & patterns and how to assemble a piece of their choice. The class numbers are deliberately kept at a medium level to facilitate learning. During the 8 weeks all participants will have ongoing support from the tutor to encourage participants to try out what was learned in class at home.

These photos of the 1916 commerative quilt that was designed and produced by the Erne Quilters of which I am a member do not do the quilt or the individual pieces that I have selected justice. To really get the full effect of this work one needs to visit the Cavan County Museum in Ballyjamesduff and see it up close. In the meantime enjoy and if you can make a point of visiting the museum and seeing it for yourself.
