So.... don't know where or how to write this post!!!
I've never been so emotional in my whole entire life as I've been throughout this pregnancy...the ups, the downs, the lonely appointments without partners, the anxiety, the hope, the what if's....but also the highs, the amazing staff throughout the maternity unit in Galway-in particular staff who live in Oughterard who went above and beyond their call of duty, the support from family, friends and work colleagues.... it's been a rollercoaster...The final hurdle, this morning...after an emergency c section........
Our two beautiful baby twins were born at 1.00am..a little bit earlier (a week) than expected, but i was told I'd go early....
introducing Ciara Rose Lee and Cathal Joseph Lee who wanted to give their mother an early heart attack and get wrapped up in his umbilical cord, hence the emergency c section!ππ
All fine with both, Cathal is on his holidays in the neonatal unit to bulk up and put on more weight, but perfect besides ...Ciara is eating all round her (like her mother!)
To say we are so grateful and still in shock after a very long and difficult time to get pregnant and have a full successful pregnancy is an understatement.
We are so grateful to each and every staff member in the maternity unit...THEY ARE Phenomenal AMAZING GIFTED PROFESSIONAL PERSONABLE simply put fantastic people.
So looking forward to going home with my babies soon and getting to meet up with people (in a safe way!)
Thanks for all your supportive messages here. I really appreciated them ###
Best wishes Niamh β€β€ @ Maternity Department
