Late last night I finished writing a piece that I'd started months ago and abandoned. Still trying to digest it all, I've finally shared a selection of photos from our wedding day... probably about time - before the year is out!

I discuss my worries & mixed emotions throughout the wedding planning process & share tips for wedding dress shopping. I think this will really help any bride-to-be on the quest for her dress.

Remember me?

After months & months, I sat down to write.

The reason?

Having witnessed a very poor turn-out at Hawk's Well Theatre, Sligo at the weekend, I felt that I needed to do my bit to help make an upcoming event a success. 🌟

I'm involved in something out of my comfort zone & all proceeds go to Sligo Cancer Support Centre.

This was one of my favourite podcasts on NPR series How I Built This. Kate Brosnahan was senior fashion editor of Mademoiselle magazine & went on to create kate spade new york alongside her future husband Andy Spade. It was 50/50, so that's where the name came from.

Kate loved simple, clean, modern, architectural shapes & felt that was missing in the accessories world. Her first handbag collection was made from burlap, which she sourced from a potatoe sack company!

She had no formal design degree, she just loved fashion. ♠ She sold the company & went on to found Jack Spade New York & Frances Valentine.

I remember loving the way Andy & Kate spoke of each other, but especially how he speaks of her.Listen for yourself:
