1970s Baby Blue Knitted Set- Top & Skirt

Many of the late 60s/early 70s designs were obviously inspired by
the 30s & 40s, and this is a good example.
The sweater/jumper has a scooped neckline, and long sleeves that have gathers at the shoulders and are cuffed at the bottom.
Unfortunately, my manni having no shoulders or arms, it doesn't look as good as it should. When on an actual body, the sleeves are full, due to the cuffs.
The skirt is slim fitting at the top and gradually flares towards the bottom.
It is a light baby blue colour, and the pattern at the neckline differs from the rest for added interest.
It is an orlon knit, and in very good condition.
There is one thing however. At some point there was a wider elastic
at the waist of the skirt, whether it was original or not ,I don't know,
but if your waist is smaller than 32", you may need wider elastic, otherwise it might not fit tight enough.
There is a feint line where the other elastic was, but it isn't obvious., and will no doubt disappear after a wash, or maybe touch it up with a warm iron. It says hand wash, but I feel it will be okay on a quick wash cycle. No dryer though.
It will stretch comfortably about 4".

I do wish the colour came out better.
It is a perfect red, not too orange or pink, but brighter than
it looks in the photos. It is a dazzlingly beautiful colour.
I am unsure of the age, other than its no newer than 90s.
It is lightweight, unlined, and as kimono sleeves.
It is also perfect, due to being stored away in the wrapping it
came in.
Perfect for summer, would be great to lounge around looking good
at home or on holidays.
Its a smaller size, best fit up to size 10 UK, possibly 12.

1940s/50s Chenille (candlewick) Cotton Bedspread

This is so pretty, blue and pink flowers and bows on pure white.
It will fit on a few different sizes of mattress.
I have it shown on a 36" mattress. It would normally go down to the floor but this bed is higher off the ground than a normal bed.
It had previously been used on a double bed, it will cover the sides of the mattress, and depending on the bedframe, you could use a dust ruffle or something of that nature if you want to the bottom of the bed covered.
I noticed two or three small black marks (pictured) as I was taking the photos which I hadn't noticed before. I didn't try to get them out
being pressed for time. They aren't obvious and will no doubt come
out. They haven't been there long. 🙂
Other than that, excellent condition.

1980s/90 Sleeveless Fit & Flared Dress

This dress is made from a smooth and silky feeling quality rayon,
the type that doesn't wrinkle easily.
It is nicely fitted at the top, flaring gradually from mid hip to hem.
I wish I could show you how nice is moves, but that requires a real body.
It has wide straps, and buttons all the way down the front.
It can also be worn over anything from a t-shirt to a dressy blouse,
which makes it very versatile.
In excellent condition, it could only have been worn once, if at all.
It is a perfect UK14, but the fabric has a bit of give.

1940s/50 Sheer Blouse/Top with Full Gathered Sleeves-Volup

A beautiful blouse, perfect for now and the months ahead.
It is completely sheer, but the lace ruffles down the front add
a bit of cover, so you are safe enough with a cami top or similar underneath.
It is semi-fitted, with rhinestone buttons down the front, and darted at the back. More darts can easily be added if you wanted a tighter fit.
The sleeves are very full 3/4 cuffed sleeves .
Excellent condition , I found no signs of wear.

I love Oriental robes, I get mesmerized looking at the fabric.
The look and feel of them, along with the design, makes a person feel special when wearing one.
This is one of the best, with its long flared skirt. Not to mention the colour, a beautiful blue.
It has decorative stitching at the collar, cuffs and pockets, and a tie belt.
It is fully lined and in 99.9% perfect condition. The only thing I found was the underside of the cuff, a very small part is a bit dingy.
The original owner must have worn it with the cuffs turned up.
It is a larger size, will fit from a 12 to 16 UK, 8 to 12 US, maybe one more size up.

1940s Style Re-Mix *Vera Cruz*Ankle Strap Platform Shoes

These are re-mix discontinued tooled leather Vera Cruz heels
in tan, and are stunning. They appear to be worn once or twice, and
are in excellent condition as you can see.
The original price of these was $295 so at this price are a steal.
The bottom reads size 9 1/2 (US), but due to the style I think they can be worn by sizes 9 to 10.
The length is 10 3/8", and the width is medium.

Normally I do not like to list things that aren't 100% perfect,
but in this case due to the style and the fact that the non-perfection is not obvious, I made an exception.

They are sporty looking shoes, for watching or participating, I assume. Creme and cinnamon leather and great design.
It looks like they had been lightly gone over, but not recoloured, as there is some slight variation but only if you look closely, and there is very slight cracking in the finish as shown in the picture. The shoes must have been resoled at some point, since they are perfect,
but the inside has wear as you can see.
None of this would be obvious unless you looked closely, and they have been priced accordingly. They are totally wearable as is.

1940s-70 Ankle Strap Wedge Shoes

Although they look to be 70s, from the construction and materials
I believe they are actually european wartime 40s. The wedge is cork covered with rope/canvas type fabric, the sole is the rubber used in lieu of the usual type due to shortage.
Either way, they are gorgeous and in great condition.
They are a soft suede, and the colour I would call paprika or persimmon.
The ankle ties are not the originals, they are soft leather in a matching colour. They are soft, and comfortable, and will stay tied, unlike some that constantly come undone.
There are small oval labels but are unreadable.
The length is 9 1/2", and are wide enough for me to get my US size 9 (UK7) in easily.

1920s/30s Black & Silver Bias Cut Gown w/Underslip - Volup

This gown is stunning and in a rare larger size.
It is perfection.
I thought at first the silver trim were beads, it has the look and feel of beading, but is actually silver wrapped over slim cord.
It also appears to be real silver.
The bodice is ruched in the centre, has long straps with fasteners to hold the slip straps in place, and a low back with many little buttons (I admit I did not fasten them all,I didn't want to lose the light, but they are all there.)
From there it clings to your curves to the floor, and has a small train.
The slip is a bias cut rayon/acetate and just about perfect.
It has been taken in at some point around the bust area, and was let back out again, so there are stitch marks.
It is a pull on, you could add a zip, snap fasteners or hook and eye
if you wanted, the seam allowance is big enough.
On the gown, the silver trim is loose in maybe two small places, but it would be hard to see unless you are looking for it. On a real body the gown would be pulled tightly, so it would be fine and it is not at all obvious.
The silver is tarnished here and there which I tried to show in the pictures but it is hard to see anyway. You can go over it gently with a silver cloth if you feel the need to.
Two small holes in the train, no doubt from heels, and not obvious.
I have it shown on a UK12 mannequin, and it is a bit large on her, particularly the mid section.
The bias cut body of the gown will stretch about 3 or 4", from 32+waist, 42+ hips.
As for the bust area, its hard to measure due to the low back
and will also depend on how much you want to reveal.
The mannequins bust is approx.41"

1940s/50s Black Velvet Peplum Jacket w/White Fur -Volup

A beautiful lightweight jacket that will make you look like and feel a million.
It is quality rayon velvet with a big white fur (rabbit?) collar and cuffs.
At the moment it closes with a hook & eye at the waist, but after
looking closely I see there is actually a buttonhole, so the previous owner added the hook and eye to make it a few inches larger.
The buttonhole wouldn't be seen, because it doesn't look like it was used, so it blends in to the fabric.
If you want it to measure 32", I will add a velvet button, just let me know.It has a "wavey" 4" peplum
