I'm Cynthia, owner of Better Than Chips Vintage - named because while few things are better than chips - or fries for my North American vintage lovers - a fabulous vintage find definitely tops them! I've been collecting vintage clothes for over 20 years. I was about thirteen the very first time I walked into a vintage shop and that was it for me. My heart raced as I flicked through rails that span

ned eras and transcended trends, and to this day, whether sourcing or shopping for my own wardrobe, my heart rate picks up when I'm around vintage clothes! I love a good classic piece, but my heart often leads me to source one-of-kind special gems, the ones that will have people, begging you, "WHERE did you get that?" To which of course you'll reply, "It's vintage darling!"

It's so important to me to offer my customers a fun, fabulous shopping experience. I want vintage shopping to feel like a wonderful treat, so I ensure my pieces have been laundered and steamed and are ready to wear. I also gift-wrap each order with paper, ribbon and a handwritten Better Than Chips Vintage, just like the luxury department stores back in the day

Size 12 ladies, looking for a Holy Grail pair of jeans? These vintage Wranglers are pretty much the perfect all rounder - the wash is medium, the fit is *chef's kiss* and the condition is perfect, practically unworn.

The jeans have a high-waist, and the cut really lifts and hugs the bum - I would liken the fit to the Levi's We**ie jeans. The leg length is slightly cropped and the hem flares out - really fab for wearing with boots in winter or to show off your shoes in summer!

I've been trying to date them using label resources, but I'm not entirely sure. The "rope" logo at an angle seems to have been used in the 1970s, but the jeans could be a later reissue of that style, so I can't say for sure.

These jeans are €55 + shipping and are a 32 inch waist and would best fit around a size 12💙

💖VINTAGE WEDDING STYLE💖 Guys, here I am in a fully vintage outfit for my friend's wedding last year, and I can't tell you how special I felt (man beside me is also vintage😆) I chose a stunning 1980s puff shoulder dress, red vintage pill box hat and even some red 80s shoes. The whole look felt fun and fresh, despite being 35-40 year's old!

I almost always wear vintage to wedding (never one to miss an opportunity to wear a statement vintage frock!) and my outfit is always a talking point, plus there's never a chance anyone will have the same dress as me😉

I have two weddings coming up this summer and I think I'm going to have to outdo myself - watch this space!

The most magical handknitted piece... ever? (I know I say this about a lot of stuff but really, this is SO SPECIAL!)

It's made from a handmade, supersoft mohair, has a gorgeous boho design, and just feels like an utter luxury and privilege to wear. I've soo much respect for the skilled hands that made this utterly beautiful piece✨️

It's an 80s piece but has such a classic 50s fit and flare cut. The buttons are covered but you can open them and wear the top part like a shirt too! Oh, and there are POCKETS🎉
