Hey,
We’ve noticed a lot of new faces around here lately and honestly, it’s been lovely to see. So many of you have discovered us over the past while through festivals, social media, friends sharing our posts, The Traitors, Gaeilge content, rainbow sweaters, competitions, or just by stumbling across our little corner of the internet.
So we thought it might be a nice time to properly introduce ourselves.
And to those of you who’ve been here since the beginning, thank you. Seriously. Thank you for sticking with us, supporting us, tagging us, sharing our work, recommending us to your friends and helping this little business grow into something bigger than we ever imagined.
So… hi. We’re Nina and Gill, the founders of Sully & Juno 🌈
We met at the school gates on our children’s very first day of Junior Infants. We were two tired mammies trying to juggle work, parenting, school runs and life in general, while also navigating the world of autism and sensory needs with our own children.
Despite being complete opposites in lots of ways, we clicked instantly and became best friends.
Over the years, we spent countless hours chatting around kitchen tables and over coffees about how badly we wished colourful, sensory friendly clothing existed that actually felt fun, expressive and modern. We didn’t want dull, clinical or boring. We wanted softness, comfort, colour, confidence and personality.
Eventually, after one particularly bad day at work, we decided to finally take the leap and go for it.
That became Sully & Juno, named after our youngest children.
Since launching in 2021, the whole thing has honestly been a whirlwind. We won the The Late Late Show Business Special in 2022, represented Wexford at the National Enterprise Awards, won Best Newcomer at Showcase 2024 and have been lucky enough to receive recognition for our work in sensory friendly fashion and encouraging the use of Gaeilge in everyday life.
Our Rainbow Sweater has become one of the most recognisable parts of the brand and seeing both kids and adults wearing it out in the wild still genuinely makes us emotional every single time.
Another huge moment for us came when Nina appeared on RTÉ’s The Traitors. Not only was it an incredible experience personally, but it also introduced Sully & Juno to a whole new audience. Nina wore Sully & Juno designs throughout the series and when the show later reached UK audiences, it brought even more new eyes to the brand, which was surreal and amazing to see.
We’ve also been incredibly proud to welcome then presidential candidate, now President, Catherine Connolly to our Wexford store and to see so many people connect with our mission of making Gaeilge feel lived in, modern, wearable and fun.
At the heart of all of this though, we’re still just two mammies building the kind of brand we would have wanted for our own families.
We’re very active over on Instagram and honestly, that’s probably where you’ll get the real behind the scenes chaos 😅 We share new launches, little business updates, family life, festival prep, Gaeilge bits, sensory conversations and usually a few competitions too, so if you’re not following along already, come say hi over there. 👉 https://www.instagram.com/sullyandjuno
We’re so excited for the summer ahead, festival season, new collections, pop ups, collaborations and whatever else this mad little adventure brings next.
And genuinely, thank you for being here. Whether you’ve been with us since day one or you’ve literally just found us this week, we’re very glad you’re here.
Grá mór,
Gill & Nina 🌈
