Out for a nice walk before the weather changed , beautiful morning to catch the sunshine from the cliff walk starting at the walking south towards cahore outhouse beach , lovely view points along the way and plenty of people out walking there dogs , you can head down to the long stretch of beach to old bawn or as I go along the sand dunes it provides better views and a bit of a tougher walk then when you get as far as you would like to go you can sit somewhere on the beach and relax and watch the waves before turning Back, the journey can be as long as you like but I usually would be about an two hours there and back 🍀

This week I didn’t get to explore too far unfortunately as I was under a tight schedule over the weekend and weather wasn’t the best but when I do get a hour to myself I take my dog for a walk to a beautiful slightly secluded beach close to Riverchapel in Gorey about 3km south of courtown harbour, the beach is hidden between rocks after ardamine, it has natural shelter due to the cliffs so ensures beautiful calm waters most days of the year. There is a lovely cliff walk to the south of the beach which you can see most of the coastline and great views north to Dublin and south to Wexford . Great place to be all year around with a relaxing atmosphere for a picnic or a short walk

As part of our business, we also like to encourage more people to enjoy the outdoors and for those that already do then maybe you will find some useful locations and tips for great hikes, walks, kayaking and scenery. We will be running a
Blog post every Monday with some great places to see and things to do which hopefully you will enjoy.

Today I decided to get up early and see the sunrise from a beautiful location here in Gorey Co.Wexford known as Tara hill only 10 mins drive from Gorey town. Though only 253 meters high the walk is spectacular with scenic views of the Wexford coastline.

There is a loop walk with various starting points, but each has its own unique touch of the hill. I always like to go by parking at the Crab tree also known as the blue trail from there you can either go left along small winding road by farms and panoramic views of other hills across the east till you come to a right turn which will take you the summit and loop walk, to go right from the crab tree will take you up on a tar mac road with views of the beautiful coastline the whole way which will then lead you to a left turn up to the summit and loop walk.

This hill has amazing history and there are little posts along the way telling each individual story on location.
