I can’t quite believe I’m saying this! We’re so lucky here in Wexford to have such amazing independent businesses, and I feel so privileged to be collaborating with two of them this year.

Our second workshop at Dusty Boy, Castlebridge, taking place on December 4th, has officially sold out straight away!

I had the pleasure of visiting again this week to refresh the vases I originally created for her beautiful salon over two and a half years ago.

This time, Janet asked for something a little different, so I took the opportunity to change things up.

For this design, I aimed for a more architectural feel, something that felt like a piece of art. I spent some time out in nature for inspiration. I’m always drawn to branches, each one tells its own story, often with different mosses and fungi growing on them.

The colour palette is soft and calming, with natural tones and gentle greens that complement the deep green feature wall in her reception area.

Dried flowers are a super idea for a gift for that someone special. They last for years once they are looked after correctly. You literally don’t need to do anything with them once they are away from moisture and direct heat and sunlight. They like a minimum dusting and a light spray of hairspray if you have any grasses in your arrangement.

This was a gift from a godson to his godmother for her 50th birthday. A very thoughtful gift from a godson if you ask me.

I made this for a lovely couple moving into their gorgeous new home.

The colour palate in their home is pale oak, monochrome with accents of moss green. They asked if I would add something to their black circular mirror to bring a bit of texture to help soften up their hallway. I used lots of white statice, preserved eucalyptus and curly willow to try make it look really natural and look as if it’s growing on the mirror.

I have been getting some lovely orders in from people moving into their new dream homes.

Jaymee got in touch to ask me to make something on the wall in their kitchen just by their dining table. She wanted a larger pampas piece with some gorgeous preserved roses and gold contorted willow.
