It’s crazy to think about the impact that replacing just one disposable product can have on the amount of waste we send to landfill.

These figures are based on swapping just one product per week and per day. That's it!

When you see the numbers, it's hard not to be amazed at how much waste is created by the disposable products we use every single day without question.

When I learnt why some toddlers can take longer to potty train in disposables, my mind was honestly blown.

We don’t want our children to feel uncomfortable in their nappies - we just want them to become aware of when they are wet so they can start recognising the feeling and learn to use the toilet.

Modern disposable nappies are specifically designed to pull moisture away from the skin and keep babies feeling dry for as long as possible. Studies have even shown that today’s disposable nappies are designed with advanced absorbency layers to reduce the feeling of wetness.

Which sounds great in theory… but it can also mean some toddlers are less aware that they’ve actually done a wee.

We talk a lot about comfort and savings here at EcoKinly because we know that what parents truly care about is their families (same as us, this is never a judgement).

However, there is another aspect of using EcoKinly reusables that we don’t talk about as much, but is just as important - sustainability.

Our planet is home to us, our children, and future generations, so making small changes where we can really does matter.
