Recreating this warp from an old sample had been on my list for a looong time. A simple brown and báinín warp woven lovingly (💖) in my Bray studio, using a black weft yarn in a broken twill.

As always, all yarns spun and dyed in Co. Donegal.

📸 An honour to have the lovely and talented visit the studio recently and snap some shots on cameras, analogue and digital. I love hearing about the equipment unique to someone else’s practice, a whole other world of mystical terms and phrases to be unearthed. The sound of the loom’s flying shuttle competing with the clicking shutter of the camera, both working to document and preserve something special of our cultural fabric!! In conversation + collaboration is when great new things come to light. 🕯️
