My name is Hadas Katz and I’m the owner here at Katz and Birds. I’ve always had a passion for fashion and a great love for
shoes. I studied shoe and fashion design at Shenkar College of Design and Engineering in Israel. I know that you don’t have to sacrifice comfort to wear fashionable clothing accessories, and so I’m dedicated to bringing my customers footwear that is both comfortable and chic at the same time. My goal is to create shoes that are great for walking around in the city all day long, yet are beautiful and complementary to your outfit or evening attire. My aim is to offer a charming, elegant, classic design, finely crafted with a progressive touch, so you will look your absolute best while
still feeling completely comfortable. All of my products are handmade the traditional way, using soft and fine leathers and a carefully designed shoe last (that's the shoe mold/shape). I work side by side with our wonderful shoemaker who has learned this profession from his father. For us, this shop is so much more than a business; it is a way to share our dream with others. In my free time you’ll find me enjoying the company of my husband, our two cats and our Golden Retriever. We live and work in beautiful Tel Aviv. I have been a vegan for the past three years. I love all kinds of arts and crafts and I draw inspiration from nature, animals and design of any field. There is a lot of attention to detail; a feeling and a story behind the design. I truly believe that shoes are the finishing touch, able to upgrade every outfit to extraordinary in a sophisticated way.
