AN ODE TO RESHMA
This collection is our love letter to the women who believed in us before the world did. Every colour bears the name of a woman who inspired, supported, and shaped our journey.
This shade of maroon red is called Reshma.
Long before there was House of BAYA, I remember meeting Reshma at a small meet-and-greet. She was warm from the very first conversation—gracious, genuine, and the kind of person who made you feel instantly comfortable.
Soon after, I sent her one of our earliest creations—a lemon-yellow twinning set for her and little Esthu. I didn’t expect anything in return. But she shared it so generously with her community, and I still remember the joy I felt seeing our work through her stories. For a small dream that was just beginning, that simple gesture meant the world.
Over the years, I found myself looking forward to everything she shared—not only because of the beautiful spaces and stories she created, but because of the effortless elegance she carried. There was always a quiet simplicity in the way she styled herself, a timeless grace that never felt loud, yet never went unnoticed. It became something I deeply admired.
But what stayed with me most was never her aesthetic.
It was her kindness.
This hand-embroidered zari saree, adorned with delicate line art and blooming flowers, is more than a piece of clothing. It is our way of honouring women whose kindness quietly shapes the journeys of others.
This is Reshma.
A maroon red woven in gratitude—for the warmth she offered, the encouragement she gave so freely, and the quiet elegance she continues to embody.
Thank you, Reshma, for believing in us when we were only beginning, for every small act of support that became a lasting memory, and for reminding us that true elegance is found as much in one’s heart as in one’s style.
Because some names deserve to be remembered not just in our hearts, but woven into every thread.
With love,
House of BAYA 🤍
